    Default Great Day

Really glad you guys had a good time. I did too.

As I said, I think the fall run is very late and there are still a bunch of fresh fish yet to come in. Probably about the time the American gets going the Feather will also.

Once these "steelhead" start setting up redds, and new fish keep adding to the existing population, the real steelies will be here in full force. Then it'll be glow-bug time for the rest of the winter.

Again, glad you had a great day,
    TONY

Hey guys,.... After fishin' with Tony, I can, enthusiastically, second that he is a great guy and guide.

I still owe him some flies to replace those I lost on our last trip....

    Darian,
You owe Tony one less fly, one of the salmon had a chartruse fly with dumbell eyes stuck in it's shoulder. He told us it was yours from the day before.

    Hi Tony,

Our King Salmon run on the Lower American River peaks over a month after the Feather's.

October and even into November is our run here in Sacramento.

It is probably about 25% as many fish though as the Feather but can be very good with the cooler weather.

A favorite place is the run just below the Goethe Park bridge.
