Not tryin' to pee on anybodys fun here ...

Instead of Bass Festival , it should be called Dead Striper derby .

What with water exports going up , pollution , no slot limit , etc ... I think catching the largest , least healthy to eat , most egg producing Stripes and killing them isn't in the best interest of 'family fun' .

After reading through their site, I'm afraid I'll have to agree with you David. It's looks like there are a few good things going on besides the fishing contest though. I guess people will have to decide if they want to go to this or not based on what you pointed out.

Hi Gregg!

I never suggested not going , just that it's a catch and kill derby . By all means , go to it .... and carry your beautiful photos of Stripes with you . Show them off , and suggest/preach/hint at Catch and release .

I wouldn't mind going , but I'm taking BOARD SAVAGES fishing Sunday
