Default Very cold at night in the Sierras now.

Our friend Mark Merrill was by today. He said that he was freezing at Milton Reservoir two nights ago.

Charlie Fullerton, past director of CA Dept of F & G, to me that after September 1st we usually got some really cool nights in the high contry that got the fish moving in from the deeper water feeding up for winter.

Mark also said that he was recently talking with top Dunsmuir fly fishing guide Fred Gordon. Fred said it has cooled off up there at night and the fishing in the Upper Sac has already taken off. He said that it has had very little pressure all summer due to the long period of high water this spring/summer.

I think it is time to head somewhere?
