    Default Pictures from the Yucatan

One of the most memorable fish. This fish was hooked in a confined area the size of your living room, with mangroves all around. Not sure how we got this fish to the boat.

This year we fished some deeper flats which produced much larger permit and bones.

Once again, the Tarpon Neutralizer was the key to fishing the shallow lagoons.

Here's shot taken underwater with my new Pentax 43 WP. Jim Chrisiansen has one too and we really like the results.

Very nice, I've got to get down there one of these days! Thanks for posting the pics. If you want to put some of these on the Gallery, let me know and I'll get them there for you.

    Default Yucatan trip

    Hi Rick,

Since you guys like the permit fishing, as well as the tarpon, you might want to consider splitting up the trip, with 3 days at Tarpon Cayo, and 3 at Isla Blanca. The environments are completely different.

Let me know about the Tarpon Neutralizers, when your trip rolls around. We also used a slider that was very effective at Tarpon Cayo.

    Cheers,
    Lee

Lee, which camera did you use to take the underwater picture?

The Pentax 43 WP does not exist.

There is a Pentax Optio 43WR and a Pentax WP

The 43WR is a 4mp camera, blue in color, shaped like a clondike bar. *Water resistant*

The Pentax WP is a 5mp metal body camera *Water Proof*

Please let me know which camera you used.

    Default camera

    Hi Adam,

    Opps.
I guess mine is the Pentax Optio WP, not 43WP.

    Default ...another underwater shot

    Hey Adam,

Here is another shot taken on the Deschutes. Nice redside bow.

The primary problem is that you can't see the screen when it is underwater, unless you are underwater too. It takes several shots to get lined up right. Any ideas?

Only idea is to dunk your head

I guess that you should practice lining up the shot on inanimate objects. Once you get better with none moving subjects try your luck with fish.
