    A single-handed rod could be considered a spey rod if "Spey" casting was performed with the rod according to that article.

    I agree that not all 2 handed rods are "spey" rod but not every spey rod is 2 handed

    Spey fish/casting fisherman iwll never quite agree on anything, IMHO.

    There are too many different styles, techniques and philosophies.

    Never the less, spey fishing is still tons of fun.
