Default It ain't over till its over...

...that is what Yogi Bera said and now as far as I'm concered the shad fishing season on the American R for 2005 is over. Lee s., Jeff C. and I hit upper Sunrise last evening and came up with zilch. Jeff says he got a couple of bumps but Lee and I just kept throwing into a void and kept coming up empty. I say this a bit reluctantly but I guess it is time to think of other fishes till next spring. To the shad:...as Lee would say..thank you for the dance .

Stripers are really good on the Lower American River now that the Shad have thinned down.
