    Default Eagle Lake???

Hello everyone,.... Need some info on fishing at Eagle Lake (CA) during the period from 9/15 thru 9/30....

I'm familiar with conditions after the first of October so don't need that. Just wondering if it's worth a trip up there during the time frame cited....

    Darian,

I beleive the fish start to come up shallow around the shore in October with November being the big month and many still fish in December.

You might have some action real early and real late at that time.

I hear the fish are deep in spring holes all summer.

I think the best fishing in September is Halfpounders on the lower Klamath and lower Rogue and the Isonychia mayfly hatch on the Pit River for wild Rainbow trout.

I think the big Rainbows are active on Lake Crowley in September?

Salmon are coming into many Nor Cal river by then too.

    Default Hey Darian

If it were me, I'd forget Eagle until the end of October. I'd be thinking about the Sac, Pitt, McCloud and/or Fall River. I think it's gonna be a long, hot fall.

Nice meeting and talking to you at the river the other day.
