    Default Redington RS3

    Hi Folks!

    Another hot one

I am wondering if anyone owns an Rs3. I cast one last weekend but only for a few minutes in the parking lot. My intitial thoughts were that is was a little bulky. But then again, for the price, it seemed really nice. I heard that SAGE purchased Redington and has improved their product line.

I am thinking of getting a new surf rod...

Do any of you have an Rs3? What do you think of it? Anyone know anything other than what is listed on their site about the rod?

    Mucho Gracias!

I casted an RS3 6wt - little on the stiff side, but when I overlined it by 1 it casted a lot smoother.

Try over lining the rod next time...

From what I've heard the technology has improved to match lines to rods, but you may find a manufacture or two that a heavier line weight might bring our the better casting qualities of the rod.

just my pennies worth on this one...
