Rick that would be great to go out again.
That light spey rod of Gary's would be perfect for the HP's, very nice.

Adam, where about on the lower K were you in that photo. Is that just below Weitchpec a ways?
Steelhead gear = $6287, no of adults caught = 3, amortized cost = $2,095.67, beaching that 30" fish and letting it go = priceless
Ask Rick J, I'm not sure where that is, pretty sure that it's below Weitchpec.

Just above Johnson's at the Pecwan Bridge
That tailout was KILLER!
I love that river. Perfect Spey Water.
I loved our trip.
Bye the way that tailout was perfect, it required a long cast and it had a perfect even flow.

You need a jet boat to fish the lower Klamath River which is prime in September.
You can get a StreamTime map and drive the river by car from the mouth of the Trinity River upstream to Interstate 5.
We like the area from Orleans upstream to Happy Camp in October too.
You can drive the road along the river up there and park, hiking down to the runs.
On this BB Rick Jorgensen and Bruce Slightom are the Klamath River experts.
I have fished it off and on for 30 years but at the shop Joe Shirshac and Noe Fierros are real knowledgable. They both usually work at the shop on Saturdays if you want to come by for some good advise.
