    Default River Reports

For those of you looking at the Yuba, come on up. The lower river is still a bit high but a very nice green and shad have been shooting up to Daguerre.

The Feather is also clearing nicely and there are plently of stripers around the Yuba City area. The last few outings have been fantastic except when Darian showed up with gale force wind.
Farther up the Feather, salmon are already at the outlet. I haven't checked out the low-flow yet but those springers move through fast when the water temperature is cool. Almost no resting like those in the fall run.
Shad are stacked at Shanghai as well.

The Sac around Colusa and up is packed with stripers but it's still a bait game only. I've got reports in that stripers are all the way up to Los Molinos. Lots of small fish stealing bait. Nobody's fishing minnows yet till the water clears.

Hope this helps you guys get out and get going,
    TONY

    Default Thanks Tony

I'm heading up to the Yuba today and the Feather this evening. I was wondering about the "real" flows. I called Star Bait two days ago and they said the Yuba was milky in town and that there were no reports. This is when the Yuba is tops for shad-- high water! can't wait.

As a side note, I was on my way up to Davis yesterday with high hopes. We were coming up to Blue Canyon when my undercarriage started smoking. Turns out that my transmission cooler line was leaking water from the radiator into my tranny. Took care of all that and so today I'm staying close.
