    Default PINK - Billfish Flies

    Hi Bill,

I was talking with Capt. Jake Jordan a while back about billfishing and he mentioned that one of the reasons "pink" is so popular is that it photographs well and people like to see color.

When that billfish is teased up to the transon, he is so lit-up and excited he'll hit just about anything and a darker or more natural colored fly might be easier for him to find.

    What's your thinking?

    Default Colors for Billfish....

Hey Tony,.... I don't have a lot of experience with Billfish on a fly but have seen several taken; all on natural colors... . But, attractor/teasers all seem to come in variety of colors... .

I do believe that purple/black in combo is good as those colors are prominent in the 12" Squid that I saw washed up on shore in Baja... . Otherwise, I'd go for something that goes with the hotest bait fish colors .
