    Default Trout Opener?

    I did not fish the opener this season.

    I have never really had a good opening day, too much off-colored freezing water rushing through the rivers and streams.

    Did anyone catch any trout on the opening day of this new season?

    Default Great Day

    Adam, We held our annual Kids Fish Day on opening day. We had 154 kids attend between 7AM and 5PM. 141 kids caught their limit of five rainbow trout. The largest being 26 inches- approximately 6 lbs. Actually landed with a snoppy rod and reel combo. Fish were taking shrimp, power bait, salmon eggs, worms, stimulators, elk hair caddis, and a variety of nymphs. The stream was gin clear. ARMO
