    Default Wilderness Bass Fishing

Well my pond doesn't exactly have the same sex appeal as Adam's but it is only a 100 yards from the front door. The Bass have only been in there about 3 yrs but they have done well for themselves. Most Bass are 1 1/2 - 2 pounds but I have seen a few that might go 2 1/2. Here is a couple of pics from the Concrete Pond.

The picture doesn't do it much justice, I swear it was 2 Lbs.

The Bluegill have prospered quite well also. I got a few this size. Kinda puny compared to Adam's monsters!

The best part of fishing is getting out into the wilds and being one with nature. I can't seem to get anything on the American so I guess this will have to do until something starts happening.

Mike, those are darn nice fish, I'd be happy to catch those all day long. 100 yards from the front door? Paradise. Especially knowing it's only going to get better. Looks like you have your little gold mine as well, you lucky dog.

Mike your bass are larger in average than the bass I have been catching. My bass are about 1-1.5, more around the 1lb size right now. I have not yet tubed the lake with large streamers. I will do that soon but the bank fishing is much easier for short bouts of fishing. I have heard that there are some very large bass here. I am looking foward to finding that out for myself.

Your bluegill is pretty big, very nice size and full of fun.

Gregg fished with my roomate Lyle and myself at our lake a couple days ago. Gregg stood in one spot, hooked and landed nine consecutive large bluegill.

Gregg had never caught so many fish at one time before, he really enjoyed himself. That day we also fished the concrete ponds here, we caught many medium sized gills. Conceret ponds can be just as fun, just a little less attractive.

Enjoy yourself at your concrete playground
