Default Stripers and Shad in the Lower American River now

We have had enough reports now to know that Stripers and Shad are spread out in the Lower American Rvier from the Gristmil access downstream to the mouth at Discovery Park.

A boat would be best for this type of fishing especially in the higher flows but some aggressive fly fishers will be sucessful wading now too.

The river is at ~4,000cfs but hopefully will be coming down soon. This flow is probably why the fish are in the river now though.

Look at our new fish report.
