    Default Feather River Fishing?

With the Yuba out of commission due to high flows, is it worthwhile to try the Feather? I have never fished there, but the flows seem to be unchanged over the past week at around 1800 cfs. I would love to get out somewhere before Spring Break ends, so if the Feather is an option and anyone can suggest where on the river to try, the advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have heard that the lower Feather River is very good in the spring but don't tell anyone.

I hear is it in the afternoon/evening up near the hatchery with caddis patterns.

Be sure it is legal to fish there.

Many low elevation streams and rivers can be very good with hatches in the spring(March/April/May) if they are not too high.

For us in Sacramento we have the American River which is so close and then the Yuba which is so beautiful so it keeps the Feather quiet except in the late summer (Aug/Sept) for salmon and the fall (Oct/Nov) for steelhead.
