    Default American report 3/5/2005

Hit the lower river for a few hours this morning Striper fishing . One suicide Smolt (14 inches) and two missed hits .... All on 1/0 gray or olive Clouser . Water cold and 4 feet higher than normal for this time of year . Be careful where you walk , a lot of silt build up , I slipped in 6 inches of water and broke my fall w/ my left wrist . Left forearm now pranged badly . Didn't get any Striper bites , but bait guys report good numbers w/ live Squawfish .
It was nice to catch something for a change .... David

Put some ice on the forearm David and some beer in the belly. Hopefully, you'll be OK in a day or so. Glad to hear you're testing the waters. Thom
