River was flowing around 2,500 cfs but 3' - 3 1/2' clarity. Got there around 11:30 with not much going on. Only wanted to fish dries so I waited patiently for the fish to start coming up. Well thankfully I'm patient ( 45 years of fishing might have something to do with that ) the fish never did come up as they had earlier this week so I just started throwing blind, working my way up the bank I usually fish. Around 3:00 the fish started responding. Must have got 15 rises in the next 1 1/2 hours. Finally got a couple of small fish to hand and had 3 more in the 15 - 20" range on but ended up LDRing them. Great day! Should be good for the weekend. All fish came on the Carpet Skwalla. Here is a picture. Anything close should work.
