Default Feather gear list for small craft

You could bring more , but DON'T leave any of this stuff ....

    1. Water - 1 gallon per day , per person . You can make it fine without food for a day , but going without water will wreck you (not including Beer , Soda ...)

    2. 8X6 waterproof tarp - covers your gear , makes a good lean-to , keeps crawlin' things at bay when wraped aroung the sleeping bag .

    3. E-tool/small folding shovel - Don't be a savage , bury waste well above the waterline , good for fires , too .

    4. 5-gallon bucket - It'll hold your sleepin' bag , and carry water to douse your fire , good for line-management , as well .

    5. Rope/parachute cord - mucho useful for many things , I like 1/4 inch nylon Parachute cord .

    6. Flashlight - make sure it has NEW batteries in it !!

    7. Survival/first aid kit - signal mirrior , Whistle , space blanket , fire-tool , asprin , anti-histamines , band-aids , all that good stuff ...

    8. a PFD - you got no business out there without one , WEAR IT !!!

    9. TP and a toothbrush- nothing will chase off the "Bush-blues" like a clean mouth , TP is self-explanitory ....

    10. A PLAN - expect the unexpected , look at the maps , and THINK AHEAD !!

You don't really need more clothes , cooking stuff can be simple , a cell phone is handy , bring a camera , .... this should get ya started !!!

Who would want to turn back ?? The price (free) is right , and the company is GOOD !! A plain old back to basics float for a few days .... What could be better ?
For myself , the best part will be camping with the Veteran flyrodders and the young fellas - two nights of storys and interaction !!!
What date can we all make it ? David
