    Default Favorite Fly Tying Websites

What are your favorite websites for fly tying? Here are a few that I found useful.

http://www.tie1on.net/ - Good illustrations on technique and a variety of patterns.

http://www.flyfishtv.com/tyingRecipes.htm - Videos of some good people tying flies and explaining them as they tie.

http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/beginners/ - This site has beginner, intermediate, and advanced tying sections.

http://www.theflybench.com/ - Gotta love the search engine on this one!

There's some very good, very detailed tutorials on www.troutflies.com.

There's also some very interesting work at www.danica.com/flytier/

And let us not forget www.ultimateflytying.com which also has some very interesting articles.

And last but not least, www.westfly.com/patterns/patterns.shtml

Darian, thanks! That is a nice site, they take very good pictures of their flies. Sure wish there were tarpon, bonefish, and permit swimming around in the Delta. . . . Looks like a number of their flies might work real well for stripers, though.

Hello everyone,..... Just reviewed two new sites. First is:

    www.pbase.com/corbinafly/grailflies/

This site has some pictures of very interesting inshore/offshore fly patterns. Second is:

    www.ichthyosys.com/

This site has some info about a new product called a "ready head". Made so that it takes the place of epoxy and is re-usable. Probably has some cross-over potential for Striper flies.....
