Middle Rogue Steelhead

Ended about a ten day dry spell today as I caught & released a chrome bright 30" wild fish that jumped 6-7 times. No picture as when I was getting out my camera the fish swam away. Took on a bead head nymph. Very low water on the Rogue with no good rains for almost three weeks. Water temperature is 45 and flow is 1,420 cfs. Steelhead run so far this year is less than half of last year and about 25% of two years ago. The attached picture is the run behind my house when I hooked the fish today. At least the scenry didn't swim away.
