well the rivers dropped too fast and were very clear. Fished hard on Friday on the Chetco and though I saw some fish rolling had no hookups and most of the boats I talked to were slow also. A friend from work was up on the Smith and Chetco with a guide and they had 2 fish on Friday on the Smith and two on Sat on the Chetco using bait.

Sat I hit the Smtih and fished a really beatiful run on the lower river with no success then went up on the South Fork and could not buy a rock!!! There was a car in every turn out!!

So finally called it quits and drove to Crescent City and visited a friend I nad not seen for 20 years.

Still was fun getting the spey rods out using different set ups. I really love the xlt's with tips when you have the room - very easy casting lines!
