Default What Cameras Do You Use?

Being a photo nut myself, and am interested in knowing what camera you folks are taking out on the water. Are you into compact? High Resolution? Digital SLR? Waterproof/Water Resistant? Each style has their own advantages and disadvantages.

Hi Eugene! I use a Kodak EasyShare CX4300 camera. It's a 3.2 megapixel camera, and its no. 1 feature is it was inexpensive. Thus, even though it's not waterproof, I don't hesitate to take it with me when I flyfish out of my inflatable kayak:

I am using the Canon 'Pro 1' which has a '28-200mm' zoom lens and is 8 MPX. Very good camera but not an SLR.

My wife has a smaller Canon A95 which is 5 MPX and has a 3x optical zoom.

    And I have a Sony U60 water proof to 5' 2.0 MPX

    Default What Camera?

I'm using a Minolta 7D digital. It just hit the market late last year. It's a 6.1 mega pixel. The good thing is that I have two other minolta cameras and all the lenses. I also have a Olympus C50 5.0 mega pixel. I do have and underwater camera case, in which I've used to shoot White Bass swimming up the Naciemento river to spawn.

I use the Pentax Optio 43WR.

Water resistant down to 3ft for 30 minutes.

    I love it

It has a nice macro feature that allows me to take some cool pics of insects and flies.

I really enjoy the ease of digital photography.

    I use a Nikon Cool pix4300.

My wife Candice bought it for me for Christmas last year.
I have a 1971 Nikon F2 that I love but have not used since I got the my digital. I would like to get a slide scanner next to scan the tons of slides I have . My Coolp pix takes great sunset and close up photo's.

This photo of Cody was taken on the side of Thunder peak. Near Kirkwood on hwy 88.
