    Default TFO 12x12 ...

Any local shops carry them ? I've been in contact with Max Garth from West Australia for several weeks now and he is putting his 12x12 to the test soon . I would love to try one out sometime .
I've no real interest in Spey rods , yet don't want to shut my eyes to any applications for these "new" tools .
The surf at Pacifica could be done with a overhead rod like that one . David

    Default Spey Rod in Surf

Hi David,..... I've been considering surf fishing with a spey rod for some time but was discouraged after speaking with Jay murakoshi. His concern was there was too much line out for control in the waves. But, how about fishing off the breakwater at Pillar Point. When I lived down there, I used to catch Stripers off that breakwater.

That's one application that I see as a natural. Ease of pick-up/cast without entangling in the kelp Actually, how about casting from any elevated outcropping of rock Such as the rocks at McKerricher State Park, Fort bragg
