and 20 pound twisted leader. this is the largest Rooster I ever landed on my 9 wt' I will post a full report soon as I get around to it

    Bill,

You could land that big girl, Your a very experienced fly guy and I am sure you would have your equipment perfectly set up. It was by accident I was using my 9 wt. that mourning, I only brought it because we found so many smaller Roosters the day before. I really think by using the twisted leader it gave me a little extra stretch which I surly needed it. And Bill If I could do it, you could do it with your eyes close

Thank you sir. That fish certainty made my day. The big gal ate a sardine right in front of me then grabbed my little grey and white air head, that was a thrill I will never forget, I have often fought bigger roosters, I have caught a lot of crazy roosters, however this one I remember above all

WOW- that picture received over 10.000 hits. Last time I had a picture receive that many hits was about 10 years ago it was a 250 # Marlin on the fly. Carl

I would think that any internet posting with the title "big girl on the fly" would generate thousands of hits, especially by auto-bots looking for something other than the pix of a giant rooster. If people really want to get hits, I think the title of "big-un's on the fly" would generate more! But I think the person who actually opened that post would be disappointed that it is only a hero shot!

If anybody on the internet would say anything negative about that awesome fish, I knew it would be you
