    Default Woodson Bridge Shad?

i mostly fish shad on yuba-walking in and also drifting to runs in my inflatable Kayak.
I've found the Yuba closely mirrors American River-this year the run seems short and not as robust as in the best years.

Had some solid days this year but last trip was few fish and they were tired and post-spawn.

I fished the Sac out of Woodson Bridge with Lonnie Boles 18 years ago on todays date. It was OK but not on fire.

I'm wondering anyone knows if I might find fresh fish up there now (June 19)
I have a 14ft Jon with 25hp prop. Not sure if a prop boat is a good idea that far up?
I live in Grass Valley so a bit of a haul but would be worth it if I could get more shad days this year.
    Any info/advice/help appreciated.

If you had a 20 to 25 hp Jet outboard, I think you could go anywhere on the Valley rivers.

Check to see if it is open. It suffered significant damage from high water in the spring. Sycamore or city ramps in Red Bluff, or Los Molinos are other options.
