The Lower Sacramento River has Smallmouth bass from Chico, CA, downstream into the Delta.

The Lower Feather River has Smallmouth bass from Gridley downstream to the mouth.


The Russian River has Smallmouth bass in the Alexander Valley.


The Stanislaus, Mokelumne, and Merced rivers have SBM in them as they come down out of the foothills, onto the valley floor.




There are some better SMB rivers in Oregon as well. Lower Umpqua, Snake, Grand Ronde, and John Day in the summers.
