The flows are going up tomorrow not today. Solo float and I got skunked. There were 3 pontoon boats, a big jet boat, a few bankies and a couple of waders. I didn’t see anything caught by anyone. I think if you went out for the last hour of light you might be able to still get a few.

I didn’t see you today. When the aluma-craft type boat went by with their electronics and one person looking for schools, not fishing, I figured I’d give it up too.

Time to hit the Sierra’s. Too hot here.

Another solo float and another skunk so I’m throwing in the towel for this run. Greg was heading in (in his Clacka power drifter) after going for stripers. No other boats and a few bankies who left empty handed. The flow increase caused a lot of debris to be suspended in the river. I did see a 2 ft long striper cruising the weed line.

Here’s the stats on this run: fished 50 days in a row averaging 11 per day. Last year it was 53 days averaging 13 per day. I thought last year was bad but this year is worst. I hope next year will be better as Dennis Lee predicted.

This is my last post for this year but will provide an update if things pick up again.

Way to go sir. thats about the average for my float days mid river, per person. Definetly seemed to be less females compared to years past. Get some rest man!

I noticed a lack of females this year also. Don't know if they had lockjaw but it was definitely noticeable

I caught fewer hens this year than any other that I can recall.

We have such a different river every season for a few years now. Just an never ending puzzle and challenge.

One positive way to look at it, if the Shad were Steelhead, you had a pretty good run and good catch numbers.
