Default Future of Lake McCumber and North Battle Creek Reservoir ?

Lake McCumber and its little campground were very popular with my friends and me.

It is a small, weedy, shallow lake with a creek channel running through it.

We fish McCumber and Manzanita on the same weekends.

There are two smaller lakes nearby, Grace and Nora, fished from the banks.

We also fish Upper Hat Creek, nearby. 1970s

My fishing partner, Mel Jeffs, and I would take a tent trailer and our kids to McCumber for fishing and swimming.

Interesting. I probably haven't been to McCumber in 25 years, but was thinking about checking it out this year late winter or early spring.

I went up there a few summers to Camp McCumber with the Y as a kid. Great little fishing spot. Thanks Bill for posting. It’ll be interesting to see where it goes.
There are few things in life more pleasing than the sublime marriage of form and function that is found in a well crafted fly rod.
