Default What is your favorite stripping basket?

I was just Googling "stripping baskets" and found one on the Bass Pro Shop's website, made by 'World Wide Sportsman' for $49.00

New member here, but not a new fly fisher. My introduction to stripping baskets began on Rhode Island’s Block Island for strippers
The basic Orvis bucket was and is the old reliable. Drill a few holes to drain the saltwater out. It’s got a place to rest your rod.
I’ve fished with old timers who used wash bins with plastic Easter eggs glued to the bottom. I recently purchased an Ahrex flex stripper, I like for fishing my home waters in the gulf.
Definitely a personal choice just like rods

Welcome aboard and I now live in Sebastian, Florida, on the middle Atlantic coast of FL.
I guess summers have Snook on the beach on both sides of FL.

    Hi Bill,

I've used the original foam Stan Pleskunas stripping basket for over 20 years now. I've had to repair it with glue a few times, but it still works fine. Because it packs down, I've taken it to Hawaii and Baja. A pity that no one makes it anymore.

I've never used one wading but in my pram I'm still using my old Mangrove Hip-Shooter. It's showing it's now.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Jake: Hit it.
