I saw a guy put a yellow round device about the size of a tennis ball on his line and drop it over the side.

On his smartphone, it showed the depth and surface water temperature. Not sure it showed any fish?

I don't have experience with any of them. A buddy said lots of guys use iBobber at a popular stillwater to figure out holding depth and they describe it as a "game changer". He does a lot of online research and last time I talked to him he was leaning toward the Garmin Striker, but I didn't ask him what he liked about it vs iBobber and I don't think he purchased anything yet. I don't know one from another but would look into those two.

A review of the striker castable from the Reno fly shop. I think there's also a cheaper non-GPS version

Santa was going to bring me the Garmin Striker Cast w/GPS but the elves didn't finish it in time so he's sending it UPS the first week in Jan.

I bought a really cool top end constable fish finder, It's a typical green ball you tie onto a spinning rod and toss it out it floats down stream where your looking for a pod of fish, Then you look on this big screen and see the fish, my buddy has the one that hooks to his phone and it's way too small. I only used it 3 times and I paid $175.00 plus tax and shipping from Amazon, be happy to sell it for $100....any offers???

My cousin got a ibobber and we tried it out on mission bay. We saw some fish and the depth was pretty accurate but we couldn’t tell the size of the fish and it didn’t really help us catch anything because it just told us what we already knew. The Wi-Fi’s connection wasn’t good very far out (we were casting from the shore) but I’m sure it wouldn’t matter if you were in a boat or float tube.

I found the Ibobber to be just about worthless because of the small size. Good luck with yours
