Orvis Mirage V Fly Pewter Fly Reel

Since my salt water fly fishing is going to be limited, I'm selling off my Orvis Mirage V fly reel.
This reel was used for one trip, this past October. I fished it for like 5 minutes before I had my boating accident. Messed up my casting elbow and right hand, so that ended my future Baja trips. This is the only reason I'm selling the reel.

The Mirage is a technologically superior fly-fishing reel conceived and designed from the ground up and built in New England by American craftsmen to battle angry fish and laugh in the face of corrosive saltwater environments. It features a sealed and maintenance-free carbon and stainless steel disc drag system with an aggressive knurled drag knob that goes from zero to full drag in a single drag knob rotation. Patent-pending ball and ramp drag mechanism provides a smooth turning drag that follows a non-linear curve as the drag knob is turned to give smoother adjustments in the fishing and fish-fighting range. The reel is a super large arbor for increased retrieve rates and reduction in line coil. Machined in the USA from strong, yet lightweight 6061 T6 aluminum barstock. Ergonomically designed machined aluminum handle. Quick release spool easily converts from left to right-hand retrieve. Military-spec type III hard coat anodizing. I'm still going to fish. I still plan on hunting down bone fish, baby tarpon and trout. Yes, trout. Not sure how this is going to work. After 60lb roosters and 12" trout ????

It's all relative. As long as its the challenge of solving the fishing riddles for where ever you are that makes your kilt fly, and getting out there, away from crowds, doesn't matter as much what you're fishing for.
