I know it's been a while since the Shop closed - I just want to say I am sorry that it closed. I understand there was a death in the Fly Shop family and its tough time for all the employees there too. I loved going to that shop and learning about rods reels flies chatting with the guys. I recall meeting Bill Kiene (when the shop was on Madison or Minnesota I think) and he told me "ya know you only have to cast 25' to 30' max". I never forgot that insight. I bought my last set of waders and boots and really wanted to buy one of those bamboo rods that some family asked Kiene's to sell for them - just didn't have the extra loot.
