KFBK Bob Simms

I love getting up early on Saturdays to listen to Bob Simm’s fish reports. He hasn’t posted a new show since August 24th. Doe anyone know his situation health or otherwise?

Bob Simms is the real deal.


I have known him for maybe 40 years.

Bob took over after Bel Lange, "The Outdoorsman" who had a TV show.

He keeps the outdoor crowd informed about California's hunting and fishing.

I was on his radio show in the studio several times over the years.

Once, Chris Fulster, Broadway Bait & Tackle, and I sat in for Bob when he had a surgery.

For many years now, Bob would call our fly shop on Fridays and talk with local legend, Captain Andy Guibord.

He would tape their phone conversation and play it on Saturday mornings.


I hope he is OK.

I just called KFBK. They said he's taking care of some health issues and that they would be announcing what will be happening going forward in a few weeks.

Thanks for checking. I’ve enjoyed Bob’s show for many years. I’ve developed my fishing calendar from many interviews with his guests. I hope he will be with us on radio or not for years to come.
