Hey Bill:

I am one of those guys that believe "If it ain't broke don't fix it" or "If you mess with it, you will mess it up"!!!!
I am strictly a right sided guy and can practically do nothing left handed so that's the way it is and I deal with it that way!!!
I use rods, reels and flies and lines that have worked over the years and I rarely try anything different.!!!
I know that Bass like big & noisy Poppers and the bigger the popper the madder the Bass is when he hits the bait.!!!
I know that panfish have small mouths so I use small poppers and wet flies that they can get in their mouth.!!!
I don't drink whiskey it makes me crazy, but I do drink Michalob "Pure Gold" beer because it is nectar of the gods.!!!
I have fished on three different continents for a large variety of fish, it is hard to beat the action of a 5# Bass on a 5/6wt fly rod.!!!
I am 85 years old and I primarily fish four lakes within 30 miles of my home that consistently produce good catches of good fish.!!!
Maybe I'm set in my ways, but I believe I have earned the right to be that way, so why change now.?????
Continue the march.!!!

I think that God used the same mold to make both of us.
Lefty, you and I love the 9' #6 line 2 piece fly rod the best.
They called that size fly rod the "all rounder."
I crank right too as it was the only choice 60 years ago
I was one of the very first Temple Fork Outfitters (TFO) dealers.
I told many of my friends who had fly shops to become TFO dealers.
Lefty Kreh helped Rick Pope get TFO started about 30 years ago.
Left had TFO make up some of his favorite fly rods, the 9' #6 line in 2 piece.
He signed the light maple insert and they sent them to some of the favorite dealers.
I got one and it is sweet and I use it all the time.
At a new trophy bass lake near me, Headwater Lake, I caught a 5# bass on a popper.
All I have now is a 9' #6,7,8 and 9 weight fly rods and only floating lines.
I fly fishing for everything on top or near the surface around Sebastian, Florida.
