If you look on YouTube under San Luis fishing there's a series of videos from a couple of channels where there's a "pond" in the main lake of San Luis. I guess water levels are low enough that this section sort of got isolated from the main lake and left a big pond, that was full of stripers that these guys were fishing for.

One of the last videos they show a bunch of dead stripers, I didn't watch the whole video it's pretty sad but I assume there was a big die off as there wasn't enough water and it got too hot, or there was not enough oxygen or something in the water. Here's 2 links one shows some of the dead fish the other shows guys fishing what I think is the same pond earlier before the die off.
