Donald R Kohn was a good old freind of ours with an interesting history.

Don flew the P-38 in World War II and later was an aircraft design engineer for Northrup Grumman

He went all over the World fly fishing with Joe Shirshac and his friends.


Here is his obituary, although he died in 2017, at 92.

Was good friends with Don for several years and shared two trips to New Zealand with he and Joe Shirshac. Truly lived a long and interesting life.

Yes, Gordon, we were very fortunate to be able to spend some time with those men of the Great Generation.

They are all gone now, so I guess we are the old-timers now.
