I got divorced once and it was a pretty dark time for me.

I sold my store, and my new VW bus, and just tried to make it.

After a while, I started feeling better and opened another fly shop.

A guy came into my new fly shop who I recognized, somewhat.

He told me that there were already three pretty good fly shops in town.

He asked if I thought I would make it with a 4th new shop?

I was in a weird mood that day, I guess, because I never really lied much.

I told him "My wife was from South Dakota (this is where the big lie starts).

and her parents had 700,000-acres of prime farmland there and she recently inherited it all."

I said, "We lease it out for a nice large sum of money so we really don't have to work anymore."

"She could see that I was bored and did not like doing nothing so she said I should open another shop".

"We don't really have to make any money here and we will hire some good people to run it."

"Then we can fly fish all over the World with our old customers and friends."

He left.......

In a few years, there were only 2 fly shops in Sacramento, me and Specialties.
