The Outcast 'PAC 1000' is a special 10' pontoon boat.

I got to test drive one on the Truckee River on a dealer day with the Outcast Rep, Jamie Lyle.

I am 180# and felt so safe in it. Kind of like riding in an old large American car.



Fly fishing guide and instructor, Jeff Putnam, and friends used them to float and camp the Upper Dean River for Steelhead several times.


When pontoon boats came on the scene the popular size was 8 feet and then it became the 9 foot models.

If you are a larger guy or want to do "overnight, camp and floats" this PAC 1000 is a good choice.
