These Pompano are down here in Florida in the winter time.

They are on the beaches and inside the intercoastal waterway.

They are like a Permit but don't get over 10 pounds.

They are one of our best-eating fish.

We catch them off this bridge that goes from the mainland out to the barrier island.

Being 30 feet over the water on a bridge we use spinning tackle and Pompano jigs.

Looking good there Bill- I recall catching a few really small ones, and they are some hard pullers for their size!

They make good sashimi too.

Hey Bill,

I just came across a Youtube video as to How to filet a Pompano and thought of you. Looks really different as you cut the head off first. Don't loose any meant and then do a regular filet of the sides.
