Thanks Bill. Great 15 minute film.
"Guardians of the River" is a great film that delves into the Klamath River dam removals.

CBS Nightly News ran a story about the Klamath dam removals last evening.
It showed them sowing seeds of natural plants in anticipation of recovery.

Some opposed the dam removals and some don't even know about it, but in the "long run", it has to be good.
There are hundreds of videos now of dam removals, Worldwide.
It makes me happy.

Bumped through another video that showed several negatives in the way the removals have been handled. They seemed to think the sediment will be a problem for a long time because it was all sent downstream over a short amount of time. Also mentioned the seeds and planting was a farce because they were doing it in vast fields of sediment rather than stable soil. They showed some nimrod running heavy equipment to remove sediment but he was just dumping scoop after scoop right back into the river channel. My guess is that the place is a goner but what do I know.
In other news, some hatchery recently released several hundred thousand salmon smolt/fry into the river and they all perished from gas bubble trauma going through the Iron Gate Dam tube.
It will all be good in a hundred years.

An excellent point, Bill. We should be stewards for
our planet and its well-being. A bit selfish to wish that
the mid 1900's and their conditions should be
around the corner and that we will see returns
so quickly. I, for one, am so fortunate to have
gravitated to steelhead and salmon fishing in the
1960's and my youth. Hopefully, generations
from now will re-live my experiences.
Best to all,
