Cathy and Barry Beck took groups fly fishing around the World through Frontier Travel for over 3 decades.

She was also a very beautiful woman, besides being a consummate fly fisher.

Cathy Beck, arguably the best fly caster in the World, plus she was a real person, not a phony like most. May she rest in peace.

Over the years we have had some wonderful fly fishing couples.

Joe and Mary Brook - Joe's wife Mary traveled with him and was his photographer for his outdoor writings.

Lee and Joanne Wulff - I was fortunate to meet them both.

Cathy and Barry Beck - Help Frontier Travel by taking groups all over the World.

Ralf and Lisa Cutter - made a large contribution to our amazing sport.

Mike McCune and Whitney Gould - both Spey/two-hand fly casting experts and guides.

Herb and Pat Burton - Lewiston Fly Shop

Mike and Christine Fong - they made a great contribution to our wonderful sport.

Mel and Fannie Krieger - talk about legends.

Jim and Donna Teeny - super nice folks

OMG, I loved Mike Fong. Thanks, Woodman.

I planned on fishing with him after I retired.

While Mike and Chris Fong fished with one of my best friends, Don Rotsma, on Davis Lake, Mike passed away.

He was one of the nicest guys I ever met and a very good fly fisherman.

After that tragedy, I would see Christine at the Spey-O-Rama at the Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club.

Over the years we had Mike and Chris come and do slide shows for our customers.

Once we had them do an entomology class on the South Fork of the American River.

Thanks Woodman, this is embarrassing but at 78 my memory is not so good.

I worked for master FFF casting instructor, Bob Giannoni, as an assistant casting instructor in Mel Krieger's fly casting schools.

About 40 years ago Mel would send his old friends over to my shop because we had lots of after-market parts for the

    old Pflueger Medalist fly reels.

Joe and Jamie Burg at "One-Pfoot" still have lots of after-market parts for Medalist fly reels.
