That's a great rod, especially for the price. I already have several 8wt. or I'd jump on this.
There's been a lot of chatter lately about casting style and distance and lines and how everyone is a little different with their likes and dislikes. This rod for me would be a great choice.

Top top-selling fly rod size in America is the 9' #5 line in 4 pieces in all price points from $100 to $1,000.

Next is the 9' #8 line in 4 pieces. Extremely useful size. Heavy freshwater and light saltwater.

Probably the 9' #6 line in 4 pieces is 3rd. Called the "All Rounder" in Freshwater.



Lefty Kreh's favorite size fly rod to fish was the 9' #6 line in 2 pieces.

Left worked for TFO rods and he had them make up a special 9' #6 line in 2 pieces and sent one to all their largest dealers.

They are autographed by Lefty and I got one.

For decades I fish that size too for lakes, half-pounders and larger trout streams/rivers.
