    I'll still use a lot of NYMO thread. I usually buy it by the cone, I think 5,000 yards. Back in the 70's it came on wooden spools which are now a collector item.

    50 years ago there were not many choices for fly tying or rod-building threads.

    I have a box of dozen Nymo wooden spools of burnt orange thread if anyone needs some. I've only used it for the rib on golden stoneflies. Used Herter's or Gudebrod Size A for all my rod building.

    100%. Which is why Walt did that. Still looked good and way less work.
