Bill, All one can do is walk a few miles a day and work out and just let the chips fall where they may

Here in Sebastian, Florida I have tons of fishing within 1 to 5 miles of my house so I can fish almost every day, weather permitting.

Because Florida is pretty flat we have rainwater settling ponds everywhere and they all have bass and panfish in them.

We have a freshwater canal system running through our town that is fed by rain and springs so the water is pretty clean.

There are lots of LMB, Blue Gils, Crappie, Tilapia, Mayan Cichlids and chub minnows/shiners for food for the bass.

In 1.4 miles from my home I can launch my 15' skiff, for free, in the famous Sebastian River.

It has Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Jacks, Ladyfish, Tilapia, LMB, and various other species.

Because of the high jungle-like canopy on both sides, it is always a calm place to fish on windy days.

Our little town is right on the west banks of the 150+-mile-long intercoastal waterway, the "Indian River Lagoon".

In its entire length, it has only 5 openings or inlets to the Atlantic Ocean which makes our town famous for offshore angling.

Real serious anglers might have a half dozen boats on their property; ~25' offshore, ~17' inshore, Jon boats, Gheenoe, & kayaks.

Freshwater: LMB timing is Dec through May with Feb/March being my favorite for top water. I am now friends with a top bass guide.

Brackish/in-shore: The timing is spring and fall. Oct/Nov and April/May.

Beach for Snook: All summer while the ocean is flat and it is warm.
