The ELT 1144 is the upgrade to this rod, and at MSRP it was twice the price. And, quite honestly, it isn't twice the rod. Some prefer the NV2 to the ELT.

I've fished Anderson's 4 weight on trout and steelhead rivers, and it's the spey rod I have the most of in my quiver. It's endlessly versatile and a cannon of a small stick. This rod punches far above its weight class and is a staple in any collection.
