    Default Priest river Idaho

Just got dispatched to northern Idaho for a while. Anyone have any experience fishing up here? Plan to check out the upper priest and yak. Going to get the big spey out to swing for bows on the kootenai as well.

Don't they have good northern pike in that area? Sure would like to target some of those.

Priest lake used to be a really good lake trout water. I have some connection to Bonners Ferry , right beside the Kootenai, and I know the river in that area is big water! Lots of Sturgeon and big trout but mostly deep stuff. My daughter-in-laws brother was the fisheries biologist in that region some years ago and he did good in the area. Big lakes and big fish and smaller stuff good for tubes. Oh yeah, Brooke’s can be found up there too. Pend O’Reale, or however it’s spelled, has BIG trout and if I recall perch & pike. My favorite is Hayden lake!
