After graphite fly rods came on the scene there were some high-tech fiberglass fly rods still around.

    "S glass" ?

After Don Green sold Fenwick and started Sage their first fly rods were fiberglass. Actually, the first name for Don's new fly rod company

was Winslow but there was some legal conflict with that name so they went to the name "Sage".

I have the same Fisher glass rod. I loved it but now I'm using my Fenwick Feralites for all my trout fishing.

In the 1970s we sold the Fenwick FF805 8' #5 line in 2 pieces as the 'go to' trout stream fly rod.

I have an FF805 I dry fly fish with and I have a really old Pflueger Medalist 1494 on it.

It is fun to dry fly fish trout streams with the old classic fiberglass or split cane bamboo rods.

FYI Don Green did some work with Winston in San Francisco also . un clear in what capacity he was involved . In development I would think. I have seen in my 40+ years in Fiberglass only a hand full of Winslow's to date .
In fiberglass Don was only one of many that under stood the right tapers in the larger line sizes .
    Through Fenwick , Sage .
