Wyoming report,part 2
After getting into Wyoming, we began at the bottom of the state, fishing the Hams Fork, then moved up to La Barge Creek, the Piney River Drainage and Cottonwood drainage. We came into a fantastic Gray Drake hatch in this area. Very beautiful country. In Kemmerer, we stayed at a Super 8 Hotel which landed in my all time top 5 dump hotels I had set foot into. Uuuugghhh. We camped up in the other drainages. Hams Fork fished okay for us, the others had been hit hard by low water, high temps over the past years. Not much activity in them. However, very beautiful country with a big wildflower bloom. They just finished up with a big early summer rain season, and everything was very green.
A historical fact, Kemmerer is where JC Penney got his start, and is home to the first store. He got his start selling work clothing to the coal miners there, much like Levi Strauss selling clothing to the gold miners.

Economy must be bad there. Even J.C. Penney is upside down.
