Default "Load It" car top boat loader & 14' Valco flatbottom flyfishing pram.

I am downsizing and would like to sell as a package, but would consider breaking up if the price is right for both of us.

I have a "Load It" automatic 12 volt boat loader. It is currently set for an 8’ bed on a 2002 Dodge Ram. The Load It rack is designed to fit any truck. The length, width, & height are all adjustable. The loader includes 2 remotes, 1 additional directly wired switch,
and the hitch piece. The boat loader will handle up to 400 pounds.

    Loader =$1,900.

The Valco flatbottom aluminum Jon boat in the photos is a 14’ model and a 43” wide floor making it super stable to stand and cast. I put in 3 new oak plywood seats, Eide transport wheels to move it around after lowering it off the rack, custom fabricated removable Velcro/foam rod holders on both sides that will hold 3 rods each, removable lightweight foam flooring, and 5 Scotty mounts. 2 Scotty’s in the transom corners, 2 in the middle, and 1 up front for using a 2 anchor system for Chronie fishing.

Every modification was made for keeping the boat as light as possible. Once the wheels are set, I can lift the front handle and move the boat around by myself. It flies with my Suzuki 15 HP engine, but the engine is not for sale.

    Boat is $900. by itself.

    Package price is $2,500.

Boat and "Load It" boat loader are located in Mt Shasta CA.

    Prices are in US dollars.

If you have any questions, or would like more photos, send me a PM, and I will get back with you asap.

This is an iconic 14' model fly fishing boat that were used for decades as the popular guide boat on the Fall River.

The famous Valco aluminum prams/Jon boats came in 8', 10', 12' and 14'.

They were all the same width but just different lengths.

They were 0.050" thick aluminum, rivetted, 44" on the bottom and 55" on the gunnels (top).

They are extremely stable flat bottom boats to stand in and fly cast from.

The 8 foot was very popular one many fly fishing boat for lakes, flat rivers and the tide water of the Pacific Coast.

The 10 footer was good for one big guy or two medium anglers.

The 12 footer was good for two anglers.

The 14 footer was used by fly fishing guides on the Fall River with two clients.

Fall River veteran Terry Thomas told me they were popular because the gunnels were low and would go under the wooden bridges.

The 12 volt electric "Load It" boat loader is a cool thing too.

I had the old "Eide" boat Loader but this "Load It ' is superior.

The loaders will go on a pickup or SUV.

    Thanks Bill,
I had 2 8’ers, now have 2 10’ers, and the 14’. I have set all the prams to be light and functional as fly fishing boats. The stability difference between 32”& 36” wide prams compared to the Valco’s 44”s is nite and day. I have fished at Davis during white caps when everyone got off the water, I stayed out and caught fish after fish. I am only selling the loader and 14’er so I can buy a camper and be able to pull one of my other watercraft and camp during winter steelheading or Pyramid.
Thanks again for your “review”. Great light stillwater craft.

Yes, they are all very stable and that is why the old Valco prams were so popular for fly fishers.

Since they stopped making them we have always wanted to get someone local to build them.

We would love to have someone like Klamath boats or Gregor boats build some.

I think the 8 and 10 footers would be popular again.
