    Default Orvis Mirage Reel

    Does anyone have experience with the Orvis Mirage 9/10/11 reel. How does it perform in the salt water environment. Been looking at one for a while

    I have three of them. Great reels with a great drag. Haven't had any issues with them in the salt for the 5 years I've owned them. Use them for tarpon and dorado.

    My friend has been using a Hydros in the San Diego surf for nearly a year
    and loves it.

    I have several Orvis Hydros reels that I use for bonefishing. An excellent reel with an excellent drag. Have never had a problem with them.

    I have two of the Orvis Hydro 9-11 reels that I used for baby tarpon in Cancun. worked great, smooth drag, just want to try the Mirage reel.
